Jen McGuire is a contributing writer for Romper, where she regularly covers entertainment, parenting stories, and all things royal. She joined the BDG team in 2016 as a news and entertainment writer. Jen has written essays on raising four sons as a single mom, on travel, and on losing her son at Walmart, to name a few. She found him, but still.
Jen’s bylines have appeared in Good Housekeeping, O magazine, Parents, Refinery29, and Insider to name a few. Her book NEST: Letting Go From Italy, France, and Ireland about raising her sons and learning to live alone in Europe was released in May 2021. A follow up is coming. She is represented by Amanda Bernardi.
Jen lives in Canada and teaches life writing workshops where someone cries in every class. When she is not traveling as often as possible she’s trying to organize pie parties and outdoor karaoke with her neighbors. She will sing Cher’s “If I Could Turn Back Time” at least once but she’s open to requests.
You can find Jen on LinkedIn, Instagram, and Twitter (sorry, X).
