New Kids On The Block's New Music Video Is Packed With Nostalgic Cameos

New Kids on the Block released a new music video and it’s all about nostalgia and boy bands

Prepare for a whole wave of nostalgia. New Kids on the Block (aka Boston dreamboats Jordan and Jonathan Knight, Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg, and Danny Wood) dropped a new music video that pays cheeky homage to boy bands throughout the years. There’s also some extremely nostalgic cameos that will make you want to rock your stone washed jean jacket allllll over again.

The guys released their new song “Boys In The Band,” as part of the 30th anniversary of their album Hangin Tough (cue frantically searching for “Cover Girl” on YouTube to feel ALL of those feelings). The music video features shout-outs to boy bands through the years – including The Jackson Five and O-Town.

They also recreated that NYSNYC puppet scene because…I mean…how could you not.

Speaking of NSYNC, Lance Bass made a cameo and be still all of our 90’s loving hearts.

Also, hey there Debbie Gibson (cue “Lost In Your Eyes” immediately).

The music video also featured cameos from Naughty by Nature and Bell Biv Devoe. If that’s not enough to kick your nostalgia into high gear…there’s more. New Kids on the Block is kicking off a tour this May alongside Salt ‘N Pepa and Tiffany Darwish. I told you that you were going to need that stone-washed jean jacket.

In an interview with Stereogum, Darwish said she’s very, very excited to reunite with the guys. “Night after night I would go up there and watch them sing, especially my favorite songs,” she said, looking back on their recent leg of the tour. “It was kind of like my childhood a little bit again, like old-school. I really was a mess that night, I was tearing up a little bit, just kinda takin’ me back.”

The guys first reunited back in 2008 and have been going strong ever since. In some ways, things have changed a whole lot since their days touring in the 80’s and 90’s – and in other ways it’s all stayed pretty much exactly the same.

“Everything is different, the greatest thing about all of this is, in many ways, it’s the same,” Wahlberg told ABC News. “But it’s different because we are now doing it again with what we know now. … The fans are just as awesome, they are just as loud. We showed up again after all these years with all these life lessons, and it’s been magical, such a gift to do it differently the second time around.
