Mom Accidentally Licks Ice Cream Cone After Kid Wipes Butt With It

Mom shares a viral post that proves kids are pretty gross

No matter how sweet, adorable and loving children are, whether they are a boy, girl or somewhere in between, there is a universal truth to almost every kid on the planet: they are gross.

Some are pretty darn good at making us forget about their disgusting side, so we wend up (gulp) trusting them. However, it is pretty inevitable that eventually, your beloved little creature will totally blindside you and do something so gag-worthy that it makes you throw up a little in your mouth and laugh simultaneously.

That’s the beautiful mess of parenthood, right?

That is why we can all SO relate to a Facebook post that has gone viral courtesy of Sidney from the blog “Someone Hold my Beer” (great title BTW) about an incident involving her daughter, Blakely, and… the grossest ice cream cone ever.

“Y’ALL!!!! I am DONE with these kids!! I learned a hard lesson today…one I wasn’t prepared for and I feel like I’ve been through a trauma! I need prayer!” the post, which features an image of Sidney holding a vanilla ice cream cone. Apparently, Blakely had asked her mom to hold the dripping cone for her. Obviously, like any human parent, Sidney takes a lick to clean that puppy up.

However, Sidney notices her daughter is looking at her funny, which we all know is never a good sign. So she asks her what is wrong, and her daughter replied: “Is it okay?” Yep, something is definitely up.

“At this point I’m scared b/c I don’t know what just happened,” continues Sidney. “I think maybe she dropped it in her room and was scared to say. We stand there looking at each other and the ice cream cone.”

But really, how bad can it be, right? Just wait for it. “And this fool says,” she continued, “‘I accidentally wiped my butt with it.’”

“Excuse me?!! With this ice cream cone I just licked?! Wtf!! I am coming unglued,” she wrote. She then asked her daughter how she “accidentally” wiped her but with an ice cream cone — also questioning why she would hand it to her right after.

What can make these kinds of gross moments in parenting even more hilarious, is that children usually have totally legit reasoning behind their actions. Well, at least it makes sense to them. In this case, young Blakely looked her mom dead in her face and stated: “I used the wrong hand to wipe but it was just pee mommy.”

Sidney’s emotional response to the situation was incredibly relatable. “DONE!” she stated at the end of her post. “Someone come get these kids. I cannot even handle it. If y’all need me I’ll be washing my mouth out with Clorox.”

The post has been shared nearly 300,000 times with almost 200,000 Facebook users commenting on it, so clearly, we aren’t the only parents who can totally relate to this ice cream cone catastrophe. Many shared their own gross stories, some which were actually way more disgusting than the original.

Others simply pointed out that you should NEVER, like EVER trust your kids, which is basically the moral of this story, folks!
