Megan Fox Picks A Public Parenting Fight On Brian Austin Green's Instagram Page
Megan Fox called out Brian Austin Green for suggesting she’s an “absent mother”
Since Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green went public with their split in May, there’s been drama slowly heating up between them. The pair, who were together for 10 years, share three children — 7-year-old Noah, 6-year-old Bodi, and 4-year-old Journey — who have been at the center of what appears to be a co-parenting dispute that Fox just took public in the comments of one of Green’s Instagram posts. Let’s back up a little bit.
Green shared a photo to Instagram over the weekend that showed him in his Halloween costume — and little Journey in their costume. Seems innocent enough, right? Except it seems like Fox has some thoughts about posting photos of the kids online, and she took to the comments to call Green out for it.
“Why does Journey have to be in this picture?” she wrote. “It’s not hard to crop them out. Or choose photos that they aren’t in. I had a great halloween with them yesterday, and yet notice how absent they are from my social media.”
Fox continued, “I know you love your kids. But I don’t know why you can’t stop using them to posture via Instagram. You’re so intoxicated with feeding the pervasive narrative that I’m an absent mother, and you are the perennial, eternally dedicated dad of the year. You have them half of the time. Congratulations you truly are a remarkable human! Why do you need the internet to echo back to you what should be inexhaustibly evident in the way your children love you?”
Green later deleted the pic, and replaced it with a close crop of just him and not Journey.
Ever since the two split, the three kids have been a pretty constant figure on Green’s social media, even though they rarely appear on Fox’s. There was some drama before this happened, when Fox posted a photo of herself and new boyfriend, Machine Gun Kelly, with the caption, “Achingly beautiful boy… My heart is yours.”
Shortly after that photo went up, Green posted photos of the kids with the same caption, seemingly throwing some shade at Fox and her new relationship.
Here’s hoping that by taking it public, Fox will be able to get the digs at her parenting to stop. Co-parenting after a breakup is far from easy, but for their kids’ sake, we hope these two figure out how to move forward more peacefully.
