A viral video shows a despicable woman fat shaming her seat mates on an airplane

A video has gone viral after a woman threw an absolutely loathsome and hateful tantrum about being seated between two larger passengers. Not only was her childish, abhorrent behavior caught on tape, she was also tossed from the plane for her outburst by United Airlines.

It all started when the woman was seated between Norma Rogers (an award-winning nurse and gun control advocate, we might add) and her traveling companion. The woman gets on her phone and begins loudly complaining about the size of her seat mates.

“I don’t know how I’m going to do this for the next four hours because they’re squishing me,” the woman can be heard saying on the video. “It’s unbelievable.”

“At least they’ll keep me warm,” she says, cackling. “Get me out of here. I can’t breathe.”

The woman’s abominable behavior is tolerated for a few minutes by her seatmates and fellow passengers – someone even offers up an empty seat – but not for long.

The woman’s remarks get even worse.

“I eat salad, okay?” she says.

Finally, Rodgers has taken enough.

“Excuse me? Can you find her another seat?” she says to a stewardess. “Because I will not be verbally abused by this bitch or anyone else.”

As she gets up to be reseated, other passengers speak up as well.

“What you’re doing is so terrible, you should be ashamed of yourself, m’am,” one says, being way, way more polite than he has to be.

Her response? “Why don’t you sit in between those two big pigs?”

What a charmer.

Although United initially tried to simply reseat the woman, her ongoing assholery got her kicked off the flight completely.

“United flight attendants care about the safety and well-being of all of our customers which is why they acted quickly to find a different seat for the disruptive customer,” the spokeswoman, Maddie King, told The Washington Post. “When it became clear that this passenger’s behavior was likely to be problematic on this flight, she was provided alternate travel arrangements first thing the next morning.”

While we all know the discomfort of sitting in a middle seat, as well as the tiny-tininess of coach airline seats, most of us are decent and loving people. This woman obviously isn’t. United definitely made the right decision for making sure she got on a different flight the next day.

And if you want to learn more about who the opposite of a woman like this terrible woman is, Norma Rogers is a good place to start. The registered nurse as honored as Citizen of the Year in 2016 by by the Brothers of Eta Pi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity at the Rutgers University Medical School. Why?

“Norma was selected due her accomplishments as president of the New Jersey State Nurses Association,” said Olin T. Jackson Sr. “One of her distinctions (among many) is that she has been recognized for her advocacy with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to declare gun violence as a national health issue.”

Thanks, Norma. We’ll sit by you any day.
