It all started with a plane seat. Rosey Blair was traveling with her boyfriend and she asked a woman to switch seats so the two could sit together. “We made a joke that maybe her new seat partner would be the love of her life and well, now I present you with this thread,” Blair began.

The woman and her new seat partner did indeed hit it off. Big time. Blair chronicled every single interaction during the flight, starting with the immediate flirting before the plane even took off.

Turns out that they were both personal trainers (hence the “sexy fitness buff” look) AND vegetarians.

Blair’s thread has since gone completely viral, with more than 800,000 likes and 11,000 comments. The guy in question — who is totally cool with being known as #PlaneBae – was identified and interviewed by Good Morning America.

“I walked on a plane just ready to get home and ended up sitting next to a lovely girl and had such a great time with on the flight,” he said. “If there’s a message going out, it’s that there’s still hope.”

Oh yeah, and he definitely knew that Blair was snapping pictures.

No word yet if the two lovebirds have reunited since the plane ride — or the identity of the woman in the story, who is probably (and understandably) freaked out by the publicity of this little meet-cute, but fingers crossed that there’s sequel. We’ll be waiting impatiently, wine at the ready.
