Turn Your Baby Into The World's Cutest Burrito With This Tortilla Swaddling Blanket
Your baby is a burrito and all you need is guac
There is nothing better than wrapping your baby up like a little burrito when they’re tiny. All hands and feet are wrapped up tight and you hope (pray) to the baby gods that your kid doesn’t come unwrapped in the middle of the night and pull their pacifier out or scratch themselves in the face. Now there’s a blanket that you can swaddle your baby and literally turn them into a burrito, so maybe they get some sleep and you get a craving for Mexican cuisine. Win win.
Online retailer Uncommon Goods created the hilariously purpose-built blanket “Tortilla Baby” and I’m sort of considering having another kid just to be able to use it. “From their sweet rosy cheeks to their delectable little toes, you know your baby looks good enough to eat, and now he or she can dress the part with this fiesta-worthy rendition of swaddling clothes,” their site says. “The $48 swaddle and cap are made with breathable fabric that keep your baby cuddled and secure, without being too hot.”
The blanket is made from a cotton/polyester blend, is meant for newborn to three-month-old babies, and is designed to keep your little bambino cool as a cucumber. “Since too much heat can cause baby (and his or her parents) to lose their cool, the breathable fabric blend ensures that the little one will stay at a comfortable mild temperature even through summer’s most scorching days,” they said. “A matching hat provides the perfect topping. When it comes to standout baby gifts, this set is the whole enchilada.”
See what they did there?
Tortilla Baby, made by Katharine Harlan Ownens, has gotten almost a perfect score by reviewers on the Uncommon Goods site. Every user who reviewed the blanket rated it “feeling true” to size and length. One reviewer called it “super soft and adorable, “claiming that “it looks just like a tortilla!” The blanket and cap sell for $48.
People are obviously loving the possibility of wrapping their kids up in one of these delicious swaddlers:

I don’t know about you, but I regularly looked at my babies and wanted to eat them alive. Not in a creepy way but in an “oh my God you’re the cutest thing I’ve ever seen in my life and I want to bite your cheeks off” kind of way. Now with them wrapped like an actual burrito, it would make the possibility even more interesting.
Also, would this not make the most divine baby shower gift? I know if I were an expecting mom, I’d be all over this present and would give the award for the most creative gift giver to anyone who rolled up with one of these for my shower. If there were such an award.
But wait, there’s more. Uncommon Goods is also selling these adorable taco booties to complete the entire Mexican food baby capsule wardrobe. OK, we’ve now died and gone to baby heaven. The booties sell for $25 from creator Gulnara Kydyrmyshova.
It’s officially Taco Tuesday, every day, folks.
