Rudest Mother Ever Gets Instant Karma After Belittling Restaurant Workers
A disgruntled customer who is also a mom — who is also the rudest woman, ever with an unbearable speaking voice — went ballistic on a pair of restaurant workers when they accidentally put green peppers in her order. Her kids don’t eat “green things,” therefore she felt validated going completely ape-shit and belittling two human beings for making a mistake. Someone was taping her, and uploaded her epic tantrum to Reddit.
I’m not sure what the worst part of this video is: the tone of her voice, her blatant xenophobia, the volume of her voice, or just the reminder it gives us that people like her exist. I know what the best part of the video is though. I won’t ruin it for you.
This woman is seriously the worst. Steel yourself: her voice is like nails on a chalkboard. There is a grand payoff for watching it: you get to see the universe swiftly pay her back.
Crazy Lady: HEY! If you want to be polite to the customer, then you speak English to the customer in America. OK? My kids DON’T EAT GREEN THINGS. They eat RED peppers.
I didn’t think it was possible to hate someone I don’t know this much. And why didn’t anyone in the shop tell this crazy lady to shut the hell up? I live for moments like these, when I can come to the defense of people whose jobs won’t allow them to speak up for themselves.
Employee: If you like, we can make new one.
Crazy Lady: OK, how long is it going to take?!
Employee: Fifteen minutes.
Crazy Lady: Fifteen minutes! I don’t have fifteen minutes for you not to know English, not to get it right the first time! YOU GET IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME. The customer is always right. That’s how it works here! And I don’t have time for this…
Rant continues until that glorious moment at the end of the video when she attempts to exit the store AND DOESN’T GET IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME. She smacks into the door with her face. Seriously lady? This is AMERICA. Get it right the first time.
Full disclosure: I was a bartender for a large part of my adult life, so I may be a little more sensitive to people being rude to a restaurant staff. Actually, no – scratch that. This woman is awful there are no two ways about it. At least her kids weren’t with her. What kind of example is that? And no, the customer isn’t always right. It certainly wasn’t right for this woman to have a full-fledged meltdown because there were “green things” in her food. It’s not even okay for a toddler do that.
Thank you, universe – for smacking this woman in the face with that door. Good move. You got it right the first time.
