With the news blaring on the television, I woke up today in a country I barely even recognize anymore.

I keep waiting for the straw that will make people wake up, to stop and embrace their humanity over their fear of the unknown, but nope. Still choosing hate. In the face of a democracy under siege, we need to reflect on what it really means to have choices, and why free will remains, for many, a myth.
