Moms Send Support and Thanks to Essential Workers

Many of us are staying home right now to slow the spread of Covid-19. But there are many mothers out there that can’t stay home because they are essential workers. Nurses, doctors, researchers, grocery store staff, postal workers, teachers and so many others are on the front lines, while many of us are on lockdown. While the rest of us social distance to flatten the curve, essential staff put themselves on the front lines of the fight against Coronavirus. Join us in saluting these moms who are the ones who will help us win the fight. These are the moms putting their own health and safety ahead of ours every day. Some without protection and equipment. Some who were retired and volunteered to join the fight. Some who must leave small children behind to do this dangerous work. Some who have offered to provide support for mental health services to help all of us cope with the trauma of a pandemic. These are the moms who answered the call when families across the globe need it most. We appreciate all that they do and all that they are giving up, to answer the call. This will be an uphill battle, but we are finding hope in the spirit, generosity and ingenuity of the helpers. In these scary times, the helpers are who we look to for a glimmer of good news. The helpers are the ones we point to when our kids ask the hard questions.
