Kourtney Kardashian And Travis Barker Are Engaged!
Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker announced their engagement with a pair of sweet Instagram posts showing the moment he proposed
Congratulations are in order for Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker, because the reality TV star and the Blink-182 drummer just got engaged! After what feels like a seriously whirlwind romance all over the world, the couple announced their engagement with coordinated Instagram posts that included a shot of what looks like a very romantic proposal.
Kourtney captioned the shot, “Forever.” The picture shows the pair embracing inside a heart made out of red roses and candles, on a beach, at sunset, which may actually be the perfect proposal. Barker shared her post on his Instagram stories, adding, “Forever” and an infinity symbol.
Kourtney and Travis have been dating since January, although they didn’t go public with their romance until February, when they shared their first photo together on social media. Since then, though, they’ve been incredibly public, even being made fun of for their aggressive PDA by Kourtney’s sister Kim when she hosted Saturday Night Live a few weeks ago. But hey, power to them if they’re happy, and they sure seem to be happy.
This is Kourtney’s first engagement, though she was with Scott Disick for nearly a decade after they started dating in 2006 and had three children — Mason, 11, Penelope, 9, and Reign, 6 — together. Travis was previously married to Melissa Kennedy from 2001 to 2002, and Shanna Moakler from 2004 to 2008. He shares two children — son Landon, 17, and daughter Alabama, 15 — with Moakler.
Both stars’ families seem to be totally onboard with their plans to get married. Kim Kardashian was quick to comment on the news, sharing a slow-motion video of Kourtney and Travis making out (and a nice shot of the giant ring Kourt is now sporting) with the caption, “KRAVIS FOREVER” and a ring emoji.
Travis’s two kids both also took to their Instagram stories to celebrate the good news.
“Congratulations @kourtneykardash and @travis barker I’m so happy for you guys love you guys so much!” Landon wrote over a photo of the pair kissing. Landon also posted brief video footage on TikTok and it’s honestly just too cute.
Alabama shared a sweet shot of Travis kissing Kourtney on the cheek (with her ring in full view) and added, “So happy for you guys, I love u both!”
Before they started dating, Kourtney and Travis were friends for a long time. They actually sparked dating rumors in both 2018 and 2019 when they were spotted hanging out around LA. But it wasn’t until this year that they finally made things official romantically, and it seems like the timing worked out just right.
