This Unicorn Cupcake Cereal Looks Magical AF
2018 is already looking up, thanks to Unicorn Froot Loops
Maybe it is the political climate, maybe it is their flowing locks, but 2017 has felt like the year of the unicorn. And now you have one more fantastical treat to add to your list: unicorn cereal.
While the new breakfast option hasn’t hit shelves just yet, Kellogg’s did confirm that it’s only a matter of months. The limited edition item will taste like a “magic cupcake.” Aren’t all cupcakes magical? Anyway, you’ll be able to scoop up the red, blue, and purple loops in March 2018.
While this is the first unicorn cereal to hit the states, it’s technically the second from Kellogg’s, who spoiled a bunch of people in the U.K. with Unicorn Froot Loops earlier this year. You’ll notice in the photos that they have pink, yellow, and purple loops. If you can’t imagine waiting until March to get your hands on some unicorn cereal, you can try some out at the Kellogg’s NYC Café in Union Square. And if you can’t make it to New York City we’re pretty sure you can buy the U.K. version here.
It’s been a wild year for unicorn-themed foods and beverages. Starbucks released its Unicorn Frappuccinos, and people lost their damn minds. “The elusive unicorn from medieval legend has been making a comeback,” Starbucks said at the time. “Once only found in enchanted forests, unicorns have been popping up in social media with shimmering unicorn-themed food and drinks. Now Starbucks is taking the trend to a new level with its first Unicorn Frappuccino blended beverage.”
Starbucks only sold the beautifully designed drink for five days, which stressed everyone out, but we’re pretty sure you could recreate the magical milkshake-like drink at home. While you’re at it, you might as well make this no-churn unicorn ice cream. It has everything a unicorn is known for – bright colors, sparkles, and fabulous accessories like sprinkles. It’s super easy to make so don’t stress if you’re like and terrible in the kitchen.

If ice cream isn’t your dessert of choice, perhaps pairing unicorn cereal with this unicorn cocoa will delight your senses. Just look at this rave review from, well, us, “The geniuses at California cafe and sweet shop Creme and Sugar came up with the most whimsical hot cocoa recipe, and the good news is, it’s beyond easy to make.”
Regardless of which way you prefer to ingest a week’s worth of sugar, there’s no limit to the number of unicorn treats.
