Keanu Reeves Playing With Puppies Is Your New Favorite Thing
Keanu Reeves playing with puppies is a thing you needed that you didn’t know you needed
Eternal good guy Keanu Reeves has had our hearts for the better part of the last 30 years, and he’s honestly not slowing down at all. In fact, we could argue that he’s better than ever these days as he makes the press rounds for his latest movie, John Wick 3. That included a stop to play with some puppies and chit chat — a segment we had no idea we needed so badly in our lives.
BuzzFeed deserves a round of drinks and applause for getting Reeves to sit down for a bit while being adorably attacked by a pack of painfully cute puppers. He was there to answer fan questions and get us all triple pregnant apparently, because as it turns out, Keanu Reeves playing with puppies is a total aphrodisiac.
The first question really sets the ultra laid back Keanu tone we all know and love. A fan asked his secret for always staying down-to-earth and he casually replied “…gravity.” Not only is that a super cute response, it’s a top-level dad joke. Nice work.
Before delving into the next question, he handled a puppy pee situation with a very chill attitude. Gotta love a man who can deal with a little mess.
Also, look how excited he is. Our entire hearts.
He was then asked about what time in history he’d like to travel back to and he said, “I always wanted to know — ever since I was growing up — who really wrote the plays of Shakespeare. So I wanna be there at that moment with ‘Shakespeare’ — cause I don’t really think it was ‘Shakespeare.’ I’m an Edward de Vere, Earl of Oxford [guy]. So I’d like to be there in the 1600s ‘Shakespeare’ writing Hamlet.”
Why is he so cute? I demand answers.
And answers he gave, but not to that question. Another fan wondered about his new character in the upcoming Toy Story 4, and he was happy to shed a little light. “I play Duke Caboom, Canada’s greatest stunt man. It was a lot of fun to do that film. It’s a cool character, it’s a wonderful story, and Pixar is great.”
Trust us — you’ll want to see Toy Story 4 immediately after being introduced to Reeves’ character:
So as the puppy play session continued, we also learned that Reeves would love to visit “a bunch” of the past films he’s been in, he totally thinks John Wick and Ted Logan would be pals, and we are not, in fact, in the matrix.
PHEW.
In conclusion, there’s possibly nothing in this world more swoon-inducing than Keanu Reeves snuggling a crew of teeny doggos while patiently answering the questions of his adoring fans.
I rest my case.
