Jennifer Garner On Laughing Gas Is The Funniest Thing You'll See All Day
Jennifer Garner gets emotional about Hamilton after a dental appointment
Jennifer Garner is one of those Hollywood stars who seems like they have their shit together. The notoriously private actress is always composed and generally comes off as the kind of woman who would never, ever embarrass herself. Which makes the video she posted on Instagram where she’s a total wreck post-laughing gas at the dentist all the more hilarious.
The 45-year-old mom of three children shared the video on her Instagram page yesterday. She explained her emotional state by saying, “Throwback Thursday– that time I had dental anesthesia…laughing gas + novocaine + Hamilton = you’re welcome.”
“They did the sad part of ‘Hamilton,’ and I started crying. I couldn’t stop,” Garner slurs into her phone.
We think the “they” she’s referring to may be the folks at her dental office, but she also could be talking about the Easter Bunny, it’s really hard to say. Laughing gas on its own would be funny enough, but throw in some mouth-numbing Novocain and the result is a mumbling, emotional, drooling masterpiece. She’s like that innocent chick on your college dorm floor that drinks Boone’s Farms for the first time and can’t stop giggling, sobbing, and loving on everyone and everything. Hilarious.
“They said, ‘Are you okay?'” Garner laughs into the phone. “’It’s so beautiful. It’s so beautiful! Listen to this song.'” Then the Golden Globe award winner bursts into tears. “That music is so pretty,” she sobs. “I told them about it. They have to see it,” referring to the Broadway record-buster “Hamilton.”
There’s nothing, and we mean nothing, better than the cry-laugh. Or so we thought. But apparently if you add some laughing gas to the mix and have access to Hamilton tickets, it gets even better. And we totally get it; watching Lin-Manuel Miranda live would be enough to send any person over the edge.
Whomever Garner was talking to apparently thought the entire exchange was as funny as we do and can be heard laughing hysterically through the other end of the phone. And who can blame them; we’ve watched it five times in a row and are still wiping away tears.
Garner only recently joined Instagram and after watching her video, we’re so glad she did.
We love you, Jennifer Garner. More posts, please.
