A Texas Police Chief Is The Center Of The Messiest Love Scandal In Facebook History
Just Go Ahead And Search ‘#JasonCollier’ and get ready for a scandal straight out of a Lifetime movie
You’ve probably never considered the possibility that a police chief from Texas would be at the heart of some of the messiest relationship drama that exists outside of the fiction world, but lo and behold, a cheating jerk named Jason Collier is about to take over your life today. His drama is so messy, in fact, that he’s been put on leave after a woman claiming to be his girlfriend shared a series of wild accusations on Facebook.
First things first: these are real people, with real lives, experiencing genuine heartache who are real victims of manipulation and textbook gaslighting. It’s messed up. And even though the drama that unfolded surrounding these people is straight out of a Jackie Collins or Danielle Steel novel, we have to remember that many women have been seriously hurt. That being said, Jason Collier is a massive tool and this story is outrageous even by social media standards.
Okay, let’s dive in, shall we?
A few days ago, a woman named Cecily Steinmetz shared what she thought was a harmless photo of her alongside her boyfriend, Jason Collier. Not long after, she posted an update in the comments of the photo, alleging that her man was leading a “double/triple life” by not only dating her, but another woman as well. Oh yeah, and he has a wife on top of it.
A second Jason Collier girlfriend named Kristi Shaffer began commenting about her relationship with him, comparing notes (i.e. LIES LIES LYING LIES) and basically the two women were able to determine that he had been playing them both, and was absolutely married.
This is where things go a step farther, however, because beyond simply just being married, Collier had falsified legal documents for Steinmetz’s benefit to “prove” his marriage was annulled (it was not) and that he was single (he was absolutely, one million percent not) so he could keep dating her.
Steinmetz shared a post and tagged the Stinnett Police Department (their Facebook page has now been deleted) that said: “Chief Jason Collier is living a double/triple life. I was his girlfriend until yesterday. He lied to me and presented me with fake annulment documents when I found out he was married. I also found out about a 2nd girlfriend, Kristi, last night. He has lied to us, our children, and asked us both to marry him. He is a poor representative of your town. He would also visit me in Amarillo when he was on shift.”
The women compared stories: he wanted to marry them both, he lied to their children, he bought them the same gifts, and he got away with living a triple (Quadruple? Quintuple? Who can keep up?) life by telling all the women involved he was being placed on “special” police assignments. A third woman even came forward and claimed she was another girlfriend.
Go ahead, take a ride in the comments section of Steinmetz’s profile photo update. Plan on blocking out a solid hour or two to get through all the drama.
Though Collier himself hasn’t commented on the scandal he created, the city of Stinnet issued a statement on Jan. 27 saying the department is “aware of the current situation” and confirmed that Collier has been placed on administrative leave.
So that’s one wife and two girlfriends for Jason Collier, with a side of fraud thanks to the allegedly falsified documents.
But… that’s not all. After Steinmetz’s post and the subsequent saga went viral, a Facebook group called “Jason Collier Netflix Series” emerged, and was 114,000 members strong at the time of this publication. And because no one can sniff out a rat faster than women working together en masse, many more components to the Jason Collier Has Cannot Keep It In His Pants drama surfaced.
And it appears that at least eight women (8!!!!! WOMEN!!!!!) were all involved with Jason at the same time, per the group.
Beyond being married, an alleged psychological abuser, and serial cheater, Collier also serves on the board of a Christian organization called “Our Brother’s Keeper.” (Scripture on the lips but adultery in the loins, amiright?)
The group confirmed Collier is no longer on the board of directors shortly after his alleged corruption became public.
Steinmetz shared videos Collier sent to her (all available in her post), both older ones where he appears to attempt to confirm his whereabouts and a new one where he apologizes to her. No word yet on how many versions of that apology video he’s since sent out, but he’s probably nearing the double-digits at this point.
As one person so perfectly put it in the Netflix group dedicated to this prolific cheater (and psychological manipulation wunderkind): “Some people hate Trump, some people hate Biden, but EVERYONE hates Jason Collier.”
