Corey Lewandowski Says 'Womp Womp' About Migrant Girl With Down Syndrome

You may recall Corey Lewandowski, who was last in the headlines for literally assaulting a female reporter on Donald Trump’s campaign trail. He got fired after that, and we all hoped that would be the last time we saw that asshole rear his ugly head in public.
Oh, if only good things like that happened in this world.
Lewandowski, like a cockroach that can’t be killed, is back. For some reason, someone thought this guy should be allowed on TV to debate child separation at the U.S. border. You know, that Trump policy in which children are kidnapped from asylum seekers at the border and put into child prison camps. Because that’s something that we are debating. With a guy who assaulted a woman in public. Is anyone else screaming right now? It is just me?
And of course, this isn’t even the worst of it. During this “debate” with democratic strategist Zac Petkanas, Lewandowski heard the story of a 10-year-old girl with Down syndrome taken from her mother at the border.
His response?
“Womp, womp.”
You’re right if you literally don’t believe someone could have said something that fucking awful. But there’s video. So.
Yeah, it’s really this bad. This is such a low, even prominent Republican talking heads are condemning Lewandowski, who once served as Trump’s campaign manager.
Because this is something everyone should be outraged about. Even if it’s just not all that surprising.
Lewandowski went on to have a successful career. After losing his job with the Trump campaign for, you know, literal assault.
But will this be the end of Lewandowski’s career? LOL. Probably not. If we’ve learned anything from U.S. politics in the Trump era, it’s this. We’ll be rightfully pissed about this for a minute — but only until something worse happens. Because something worse will happen. And until then, kids will still be ripped from their parents’ arms and imprisoned at our borders. Make America Great Again, everyone.
