Chrissy Teigen Accidentally Reveals Sex Of Baby On IG Stories
While on “serious” bedrest, Chrissy Teigen accidentally shared the sex of her third child over Instagram Stories
LOL whoops. During a recent Instagram Stories session, model and cookbook author Chrissy Teigen accidentally revealed to the world the sex of her third child with husband John Legend. It’s an extremely Chrissy thing to do and also, an extremely third kid thing to do.
It was while updating fans on her third pregnancy that Teigen inadvertently let the news slip. “I wanted to update you,” she said in the video. “My placenta sucks. It’s always been kind of the bad part of my pregnancies with Luna. With Miles, it just stopped feeding him, it stopped taking care of him. I was stealing all his food because I was getting huge but he wasn’t getting big at all. He had to come out early and Luna had to come out early. I was induced both times.”
Then, the slip.

“Anyways, it’s super weird,” she said. “Cause the baby is really, really healthy and he is big!”
HE. We heard it. The whole world heard it. Game over. Teigen realized it immediately and covered her mouth saying, “Oops!”
“I am stupid,” she said in a later post. “Anyway, so yeah it’s growing beautifully. Everything is good, I’m feeling good but my placenta is really, really weak and its causing me to really bleed a lot.”
She hilariously replied to a fan on Twitter who told her the reveal was “perfect” with Teigen noting that there were “no fires and no one shot in the dick.”
Teigen’s referencing the sad fact that a botched sex reveal ignited a huge wildfire in California when a couple used pyrotechnics to find out their baby’s sex amid the state’s raging wildfire situation. Not. Smart.
In a relatable bit of mom news, Teigen says she’s feels she’s being “punished” for having “easy peasy” pregnancies with Miles and Luna.
“I will say I’m probably being punished for talking so much about how great the first two went. I was like, ‘Oh yeah, pregnancy’s awesome!’ But now I get it,” she reiterates in her Stories. “I get anyone that thinks it’s not so awesome, but very happy to be carrying this baby.”
The bedrest situation probably isn’t helping Teigen’s overall (and totally understandable) anxiety about her pregnancy. She recently shared that she had a little at-home ultrasound to relieve her worries about it being too early to feel the baby kick and know that all is well.
“On weekends we freak out!” she writes. “Before I’m able to start feeling the kicks, the anxiety gets the best of me and any little bits of spotting or pain freak me ouuuuuut. one day I swear I’ll buy one of these machines but by then I’ll be all done with having monsters!”
Her anxiety is extremely relatable to anyone who’s been there and we send our best wishes that the rest of her pregnancy is as uneventful and healthy as possible.
