Blake Lively Shows Off Her Highly Relatable Quarantine Hair
Blake Lively posted a selfie to update her fans about her quarantine look
Most women have managed to get through the quarantine isolation by keeping up with their hair and makeup routines, with most even stepping up their glam game. Just kidding. Leggings? Check. Sweatshirt? Check. Sweater? Excuse me, Princess, that’s a wee bit too fancy for doing the third load of pandemic laundry today. Enter Blake Lively, with a relatable selfie, complete with tangled hair and no makeup.
The Gossip Girl actor is known for her put together look, but while she’s quarantining, she’s been getting as cozy as the rest of us. The mom of three broke things down on her Instagram Story by showing the platform’s users what she really looks like when she’s at home with her kiddos. “Get the look 2020 edition,” Lively wrote as a caption underneath a makeup-free selfie. The image showed her with her messy knot of tangled hair falling down her head — a moment that’s probably happened to most women at least thrice during the shelter at home orders.
To add a finishing touch to her look, Lively threw in a Vogue logo, which made the pic look as if she had posed for the magazine. In the snap, Lively also poked fun at her recent wardrobe. The star, who donned a mismatched pair of boots, tights, and a dress, wrote, “I own something other than sweatpants. It’s a Christmas miracle.”
“Yep. Sexy,” Lively added.
This isn’t the first time the actor showed her sense of humor about her style. Earlier this year Lively posted a picture with her husband, Ryan Reynolds, who shared a similar photo on his own Instagram page. Eagle-eyed viewers noticed something..different about the pictures.
The photo, which shows the couple early voting by absentee ballot, was taken in haste. The pair were all smiles as they celebrated Reynolds’ first time voting in America with clever captions on each of their photos.
“This is my first time voting in America. I’d like to thank my wife Blake for making my first time so gentle and loving. It was super scary at first, then exciting and now I’m a little tired. But proud. #VoteEarly,” Reynolds wrote.
“It was Ryan’s first time,” Lively wrote. “He was understandably scared. It all happened so fast. Like, REALLY fast. He wept. I pretended to weep. Then he called all his friend.”
Turns out, Lively used iPhone Doodle to draw boots, then sandals onto her feet. According to Today, Lively explained the situation on her Instagram Stories. “Can you tell I was so happy to get outta a onesie and vote,” the star wrote. “Sure it was an absentee drop off ballot with a mask covering my look. But dammit I exercised my right to vote. And to not wear shoes that ruined my outfit.”
