Apple Fritters

Ingredients: 1 1/2 c flour, 1/4 c sugar, 2 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/3 c milk, 2 eggs, 3 tbsp applesauce, 2 large Granny Smith apples, 1 c canola oil, powdered sugar

Instructions: Beat the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon together. Add milk, eggs, apples, and applesauce. Fry scoops of the mixture into a skillet with oil and make sure they’re golden brown before scooping out. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve.

Ingredients: 1 loaf country white bread, 12 tbsp salted butter, 2 onions, 4 stalks celery, 3 small apples, 1 tsp dried sage, 1 tsp dried thyme, 1/2 tsp salt, 4 c chicken broth, 1 c dried cranberries, 1 c fresh parsley

Instructions: Cut the bread into cubes and place it on a baking sheet. Cook butter, onions, and celery in a heated pan. Add apples along with sage, thyme, and salt. Instructions: Mix flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, apple pie spice, sugar, and brown sugar together. Add applesauce, oil, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract.
