5 Reasons I Love My Kid's Quirkiness
1. She keeps me on my toes.
With a quirky kid, you never know exactly what to expect. Will she break out into song in the middle of the grocery store? Will she make conversation with the random old lady at Target? Will she blurt out a random fact about the earth’s atmosphere at the dentist? Your guess is as good as mine!
2. She never gets lost in a crowd, literally.
When everyone else is wearing the same outfits and plain brown hair, my kid is in a hot pink top, rain boots, and bright green highlights. Even if I wanted to, I couldn’t keep my eyes off her.
3. She allows me to be silly.
We dance around the kitchen, singing at the top of our lungs, and burst out in hysterics at things only we think are amusing. Sure, it’s sometimes at the most inappropriate times, but these days I’ll take laughs where I can get them.
4. She inspires me to get outside of my comfort zone.
Before my daughter, the color black made up 99% of my wardrobe. Now, it’s more like 90%, but hey, that’s progress! (Who knew eggplant was really my color?!)
5. She’s 100% unique and her own special self. And, really, what’s better than that?
If you love your quirky kid, you’ll love ABC’s hilarious new comedy American Housewife. And if you don’t have a quirky kid, you’ll get a taste of what we go through — tune in!
