I found out why I have been so angry and pissy
-
Well, I have been an angry, moody and miserable person for about a year now. I went on meds for depression and was still a bitch more so than before. I went to the Dr's because I thought I had a bacterial infection and sure as shit I did have one. I got some news there I sure as hell did not expect... I have started going through menopause. WTF, I am only 36 years old! I just don't get it. I had know idea that you could tell by just looking at a vagina. Apparently my labia has started to hang and my vagia walls have thinned. A hanging labia? So much for wearing a skirt without undies, I wouldn't want to leave a snail trail. Oh wait how could i leave a snail trail... my vagina has dried up! I have not got the balls to look up anything online about menopause. All I know is when my mother started it she turned into a nut job! I can't even deal with myself some days. I never sleep. Going to bed is a nightmare. I toss and turn, i get hot and cold, my feet are burning hot and I just get plain irritable! Last night I had to go out side and stand on the porch barefoot to cool of my feet. This is just plain awful! I thought I had a few more years to have another baby, but I guess not. We could so not afford another baby right now if I could even get pregnant. for christ sake, why me!
-
Maybe you should get a second opinion?
-
Hanging Labia is me , yep go for a 2nd opinion but sounds like meno moi. Blessings try black cohosh may help
-
I love my obgyn. He is awesome. I do have to go back in so he can take a closer look but I have to keep canceling my appointment because I have my period yet again. I always have it! I have been on meds for years for my thyroid and woman with an abnormal thyroid are prone to early menopause. I also got gray hairs in my twenties.
-
This thread has reminded me I have all the illnesses that do early onset menopause... ugh. luckily no signs of it yet. But I'm not old like you @angrymama I'm only 35 ;) I have another good 4.5 months til I'll be old enough (fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck)*hugs* sorry :(Just keep swimming. Just keep swimming. Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming. What do we do? We swim, swim.
-
@Demanda about that second opinion... Would you mind taking a looksy at my cooch. I trust your opinion. Hehe
-
I would definitely get a second opinion. Menopause at 36 doesn't sound right. My mother is 47 and hasn't hit menopause yet. Maybe you have something else going on? Or a side-effect of the infection?
-
It's not uncommon to start peri menopaus in your 30's. You don't hear about it much, most women in that age range don't talk about it. I started at 39...I am days away from 49. Talk to your Dr or seek a 2nd opinion. It's not the end of the world...sure the mood swings and hot flashes suck. Your Dr can put you on meds to help take the edge off. Diet and exercise helps too...so I've been told and read. Everyone's body is different...the mind fuck can and is a pain in the ass.
-
What an enormous pain in the ass!!! I'm so sorry.
-
Well that sucks goat balls...I'd be fucking pissed off, too. Maybe this means you'll be done with it by the time you're 50ish and won't have to deal with it then???

Wow, I had no idea. Hugs. I, too have a thyroid problem and didn't know that could bring it on sooner... I'm older though, 42 soon... a 2nd kid if we can... but the buzzer is about to ring."Magic things are fond of deceptions.” ― Tom Robbins
-
Lol @angrymama, menopausal vaginas aren't exactly my area of expertise...
-
Those symptoms all sound like the The Change...or at least they're the same as my mom's. She just started going through it when I went to college. My sister said she was a nightmare and begged me to come home weekends because she was nice then (and actually went grocery shopping for "good" food.) That was a little over 10 years ago, she was around 47...she'll be 58 this spring. The mood swings and stuff have subsided...she still gets the hot flashes and insomnia.I'm as sexy as a burp mid-kiss. Watch out!
-
I'm 36 should I be worried ? Mom was around 47. She had two c-sections , I had three ." Wibbly wobbly timey wimey ......." The Doctor

yea I am geek !! -
A woman isn't considered to be in menopause until she has gone a full year without a period. Perimenopause, however, can start in the mid-30s and involve the symptoms you're describing. I'm having the same things and it isn't much fun. I also have hypothyroidism, and I am really not looking forward to the change - whatever you've got will get worse and new shit will crop up. Joy.

Wow! Didn't know that could start so early. Feel somewhat normal soon.

I'm not pleased hearing this, plus your first post! I've been absolutely moody and miserable for more than 6 months now. I am working up the courage to seek counseling, but in the meantime, I've been having my period 5 weeks out of the last 6 (but I had an IUD inserted) and I found my first gray hair when I was 24, but just within the last year I've gotten tons. Something I just attributed to having a baby and the old addage about kids making you gray being true. I constantly have my thyroid checked though because my mother is bipolar. Ah fuck, now I'm worried if it's not menopause it's bipolar. Dammit, I can't win.I hope you cool off, in more ways than one. -
This sounds awful you are so young. I am in my forties have hypothyroid and am thankful I do not have these issues. Hopefully you will get more info when you get to see your Dr again

DW has been going through menopause since at least 2006, the year she turned 48. Periods started getting more and more irregular and she's waiting for that one year without. I think she went over six months without one and then it came.
Is it true that the process of menopause from beginning to end can last around ten years?
-
*sticking my fingers in my 36 yo ears* Lalalalalalala can't hear you!!!!See ya in another life, sister!

Yes, it's true and it sux!
I'm sure I've been experiencing peri menopause for a while now ... I'll be 49 in a few days. I was also diagnosed as hypothyroid at 26.
Not sure when my mom started, but she ended up with cancer at the same time and died at 54.I love purple; I love cats. Imagine if cats were purple ... -
Yep, totally true, unfortunately. I can't wait to be done with the whole thing so my hormones finally quit fucking up my life!

@RuralRebellion DFunny thing you should say what you said. I attributed these problems with my period to my IUD i have had for a couple of years ago. That's why I never questioned the constant periods.
-
My Mom was in full menopause at 42 years old. I had my son at 43! I think I'm definitely peri-menopausal, but other than pregnancy, I've not missed one Hell week yet. I am so scared of getting bitchy. My Mom still is!
-
@angrymama ugh don't say that! I'm only 29! My mom ended up in menopause in her 40's because of a hysterectomy, but I can't remember why she had it... My doctors are such jerks, if I tell them I'm concerned about this they'd just laugh at me (not really). I had a ton of people tell me that their mood swings lasted longer than a year after having their children, and it turned out their hormones were out of whack. I talked to my doctor about my concern with that and I wanted my hormones checked, and she just told me they don't check hormones usually until after menopause. I can't get anywhere with them anyway, so why bother bringing this kind of stuff up.
-
It happens..should get another opinion..check hormones..hope you get well
-
uuunnf. TEN YEARS????? eff that shit.
-
Ugh.I can completely sympathize. I've been going through the same thing for a few years. I'm completely miserable at least 3 weeks out of every month. And REALLY miserable every 3 months. I go to bed early every night because I can't stand being awake anymore. And then I wake up every hour. I have every symptom of perimenopause and it SUCKS! But I have to thank you. My husband thinks I'm nuts because I get up and go outside barefoot to cool my feet off too. It's either that or cut them off. I thought I was the only person who did that! LOL. I've been trying to research natural supplements that might help, because I don't want hormone replacement therapy. So far, nothing is helping.
-
39 here, 3 years ago i started that burning feet, hot one minute freezing the next, insomnia, hormonal basket case, if i don't feel like crying i want to rip heads off shoulders.
Asked the dr, she said birth control might help settle the hormones, so i went on depo.
First 3 months great, no shark week for me, i felt better.
SO thinks i am a complete nutcase now.
This is month 5, i have been taking note and i will not be getting the next shot.
If anything i think it has made me more volatile, tiniest things set me off.
I had not been on bc before but i know this is not helping.
Not sure what i am going to do.
10 years you say, well that leaves me 7, i will survive, not too sure about the rest of the household though. -
Now I'm wondering if this is what's been going on with me. I'm 37, so I guess its possible. Although I'm not experiencing all of it, the hot/cold flashes are becoming never more frequent and I'm so pissed off like all. The. Damn. Time.
Poor h. He can't do or say anything anymore, I'm constantly annoyed with even his breathing.
Or wait, maybe that's just a symptom of marriageJudgement comes in many forms but never scarce or shy -
I don't think I'm any more irritable than usual. But I have anxiety, panic attacks, jittery feelings, weird "electrical shocks" that run through my body, hair on my chin, irritable bowels, reflux, abdominal spasms that feel like something is crawling around inside, roaming body aches, roaming sharp stabbing pains, zits, insomnia, apnea if I take a sleeping aid, restless feet, and utter exhaustion. And absolutely NO desire for sex. Whixh is so unlike me. My DH is unhappy about that one. Every night I end up in bed with my heating pad and kindle by 7. Bed by 9. And I feel so guilty because I love my kids but most of the time I feel so shitty I can't enjoy anything. The Dr. Gave me Zoloft and an assurance that this is normal. Normal my ass. I'm barely existing and I'm only 40. I want to feel good again.
-
Ok, I finally got the balls(bad choice of words) to take a mirror and look at my lady bits... The labia is hanging! I actually had to got watch a home porn movie I made with DF years ago. Oh, the differance is visable. I want my nice little cute twat back!!
-

going to the chapel 7/5/2014 -
@SchweddyBalls, "tastes like liquid ass" - OMG, you have me LMMFAO again!!!
The symptoms you've all described can be attested to by DW (and by moi). If DW represents the norm, I have some good news. It does get better! She's at least seven years into menopause and seems to be seeing that proverbial light at the end of the tunnel. Right now she's dealing primarily with external stress (work, "sandwich generation" stuff). Even though she's been fully cleared by the surgeon and PT, this cold weather is causing a great deal of pain where she broke her arm last May. Much of it has to do with the plate that had to be installed.
-
i'm sorry. that sucks. have you looked up over the counter supplements?i'm nekkid.
-
@ShweddyBalls, Thanks! I'm placing an order tonight.
-
@laughlinlzr ......now, when I say "liquid ass" I'm not even half way kidding...The following is the method by which I take it......thus far I have been able to avoid regurging it......1. keep it room temp, refriding it is NOT required, but my dumb ass thought it would be a good idea....it's not, it gets "chunky" when cold....*shudder*2. mixing it is KEY.......this shit straight will make your eyes bleed.....it's that bad.3. the only only thing I found that helps get/keep it down is ICE COLD ginger ale. The ginger helps mask the funk and the bubbles help clear the taste out of your mouth.4. use a dixie cup.....filled half way with the g. ale, add the dose of nasty, and "swirl" the cup. *BEFORE* dosing, have a second cup of g. ale ready for the rinse cycle.....TRUST ME, you will need it!5. through that dosed cup back like its a shot of cheap tequila.....quick and ugly......DO NOT TAKE A BREATH......then follow with the second cup of g. ale.6. keep it down and hold the counter top.......even drink another swallow of g. ale.I'm the nicest person you will ever meet, UNTIL you fuck with me or the betches I love.......
-
@SchweddyBalls does that work for peri too? I'm fully peri, I'm 39 now and it started at 34!!!!!!!! Fuck that!!
-
@KrabbyKay that's a good question.......I suggest going to the website.........i faintly remember it covering that as well.....I'm the nicest person you will ever meet, UNTIL you fuck with me or the betches I love.......
-
LMAO! Gotcha. I don't care if it tastes like liquid ass if it makes me feel better. I may not even notice since my house smells like ass and catfood most of the time. But I'll follow your instructions! Thanks again. This is the first decent advice I've gotten.
-
@SchweddyBalls where do i buy the" liquid ass" and please tell me it is not in the same isle as the "Tag Away" and is it expensive? I certainly do not want to spend a lot of money on something I won't be able to choke down. This isn't a recipe from your crazy ass Wica books is it? Speaking of which, I have an evil spirit in my house(my MIL) I need to get rid of... can you help? Hehe.
-
@Episcopal SEVEN YEARS! How have you survived being around her all that time? Good lord I am not sure I can stand seven years around myself!
-
Didn't read the whole thread, but hugs!! And my friend had some sort of condition that meant she went through menopause when we were 13. It could be worse!"Be who you are and say what you feel. Because those who matter don't mind and those who mind don't matter." - Dr. Seuss
-
Menopause at 13??? That is 90 different kinds of fucked up! @irishlass. No kids for her, I take it?"The most essential gift for a good writer is a built-in, shock-proof bullshit detector.” - Ernest Hemingway
-
@angrymama........nope, strictly online........it works, i would not spread such a lie!!!!!!! Jeff uses the herbal "pecker-picker-upper" that shit works too!!!! It's like $36 a bottle (?) Jeff is the one who does the ordering.I'm the nicest person you will ever meet, UNTIL you fuck with me or the betches I love.......
-
Enlighten me on the pecker-picker-upper @SchweddyBalls. Please?Judgement comes in many forms but never scarce or shy
-
@SchweddyBalls PECKER PICKER UPPER OMFG LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!! Surely it's not really called that...
-
it's the "male" formula........mind you it DOESN'T produce viagra-ish results......but it helps fight his "your pussy is the LAST thing on my mind" moods. Jeff has chronic pain which hinders routine bumping of the uglies. One of the main things chronic pain in men messes with is testosterone levels.........the male formula helps stabalize those levels, naturally.......I'm the nicest person you will ever meet, UNTIL you fuck with me or the betches I love.......
-
Huuuuhhhhhhhh.......we don't need viagra around here, but we could DEFINITELY use some sort of male-mood-fixer-upper!!! Does it taste like ass too?
-
yep.........but jeff takes that shit....hehe, like a MAN (must be working)...... just drops that shit straight on his tongue........fuckineeeewwwwwww.......He also eats the "green food" bars......yeah, look that shit up.......it literally LOOKS like a bar of SHIT.......blech.I'm the nicest person you will ever meet, UNTIL you fuck with me or the betches I love.......
